Clinical Observation of 207 cases of Cerebrovascular Diseases


Abstract
The authors have experienced 207 cases of cerebrovascular diseases(CVD) due to hypertension who admitted to Jeolbug National University Hospital from July 1977 to June 1982. The authors have analysed the clinical aspects of cerebrovascular diseases, especially 72 cases of hypertensive cerebral hemorrhage. The following results were obtained.
1) Among the 207 cases, the cerebral hemorrhage caws were 72(35%), the cerebral thromboe¡©mbolism 49(24%), the subarachnoid hemorrhage 33(16%) and the hypertensive encephalopathy 53(26%).
2) The common predirection age groups were 50¢¥s and 60¢¥s. The ratio of male to female was 1 to 1. 1 in the cerebrovascular diseases, and 1 to 1 in the cerebral hemorrhage.
3) The prognosis of the CVD correlated with the initial degree of consciousness and the site of involvement.
4) Tlie o vinous prognosis of the cerebrovascular diseases was cerebral hemorrhage. Result of conservative managements was obtained 54.2% of improvement.
5) The most frequent initial symptom was loss of consciousness (53%) and next vomiting (35%) in cerebral hemorrhage.
